Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information Sipline uses to operate live game rooms, protect the service, understand usage, and respond when you contact us.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to Sipline’s website and live sports game experience. Sipline is intended only for adults who are at least 21 years old. It does not cover third-party websites or services linked from Sipline.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways:

  • Information you provide: display name, chosen avatar, game-room choices, contact-form submissions, and other information you send directly to us.
  • Game activity: room membership, picks, virtual wagers, virtual drink-bank activity, assignments, resolutions, and other actions required to run and score a game.
  • Technical information: hosting and security providers may process IP address, device, browser, request, and diagnostic information needed to deliver and protect the service.

We do not ask for payment-card details, government identification, or precise location to participate in a Sipline room.

3. Browser storage, analytics, and consent

Sipline uses essential browser storage to remember your 21+ confirmation, privacy choice, room code, player identity, and session token. Disabling this storage may prevent the game from remembering your room or verifying your player session.

If you allow optional analytics, Sipline loads Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel describes this service as cookie-free and based on anonymized, aggregated information. Sipline does not send display names, email addresses, room codes, or player-session tokens as analytics events. You can change this choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the site footer.

Sipline is connecting the site to Google AdSense for ownership review. We publish an AdSense account meta tag and ads.txt seller record and load Google’s AdSense library with ad requests paused. No ad slots are active. Google states that its paused-request technique does not set new cookies or use data from existing Google-domain cookies for ad serving or measurement, although the scripts load and existing Google-domain cookies may be read.

Before advertising is activated, we will update these controls for advertising choices and use the consent platform required for the relevant regions and providers. Our current preference banner is not a substitute for the Google-certified consent platform required before serving personalized Google ads in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

4. How we use information

  • create, maintain, synchronize, and score live game rooms;
  • authenticate players and preserve room state after refresh;
  • provide support and respond to messages;
  • monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and secure the service;
  • understand aggregate usage and improve the experience; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. When information is shared

We use service providers to host Sipline, store game data, deliver live updates, deliver contact-form messages, monitor anonymous usage when permitted, and supply sports data and odds. These providers receive only the information needed for their role. A contact-form submission includes the reply address and message you choose to provide. Sports-data requests are made by Sipline’s servers and do not need your display name or player-session token.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or support a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the service. We do not sell personal information for money.

6. Retention and security

We retain game and operational records for as long as reasonably needed to run, secure, support, and improve Sipline. Different records may be kept for different periods, and limited information may remain in backups or security logs after it leaves active systems.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including server-side database access and session tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You may decline optional analytics, reopen Cookie settings from the footer, avoid providing optional information, or ask about access, correction, or deletion through the site’s “Message us” form. We may need enough information to locate the relevant room or record and verify that the request is legitimate.

8. Adults only

Sipline is not directed to children or anyone under 21. If you believe a person under 21 has provided information through Sipline, contact us so we can review and address it.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the “Message us” form available in the footer and below.
